CSI Summer 08 by Beano at 05:27pm PST on Friday (08/01/08)
Hey team, so we took a short period of inactiveness of about 2-3 weeks after some unruly forfeits..
But we are back in full swing ready to rock again. It feels good to be back.

Roster Update by Octane at 11:08pm PST on Sunday (01/06/08)
trife unfortunately left CSI to join another clan. We wish him all the best.

We're happy to announce the addition of two new recruits to CSI: Hero and rab. Both are terrific players who bring top notch skill and a great attitude.

STA Gravelpit: CSI v 2sM by Okpod at 08:13am PST on Wednesday (11/28/07)
As soon at the STA schedule came out, we contacted 2sM to change maps from 2fort. Anything was better than 2fort, we thought. Even a map we love to lose on, like gravelpit. Trife, one of our newest members in CSI, was quite excited to play his favourite map. It turned out to be a great match with a new scoring method we tried out. You score 1 'point' for each CP you cap, then if each team caps the same amount, the team with the better time scores 1 additional point. We agreed to this scoring method, plus a 2 medic, 2 demo limit, among some other class limits. It worked out nicely.

ROUND 1
Trife is asleep and will not wake up no matter how many times we called him. A first in CSIs history. I (Ok(i)pod) ran around as scout for the whole match, so I'm unsure of what happened exactly, aside from their scouts (and even medics) double teaming me everywhere, making me feel sad. All rounds were tons of fun, and really exciting. At one point, we had about 10 seconds left to capture B,and ended up pulling through, killing just enough of 2sMs tenacious d to give us enough time to cap. Each team ended up scoring the better time once each, leaving the first round scored 7-7. We died a lot, and they died a lot and it was fun. Trife is still asleep.

ROUND 2
This round, OD died a lot to stickies on the roof from his arch enemy polarity. Piping up there is surprisingly effective. Piping the enemys tower in C, killing 4 or 5 of them in the span of 3 seconds works really well, too. Thanks for letting us know, polarity. ;) Thanks to Octane's yelling on vent - plus his quick thinking in changing from medic to spy, a risky move - we were able to beat 2sM's times twice this round, scoring 8-6. It was a much more exciting match, I must say, than any we could have played with any 'normal' scoring method. Also, trife wakes from his hibernation and joins us on roger wilco, just in time to listen to the end of the match. Thanks for coming out, trife. I think this is what made us win that last round. Hearing his voice is magical.

It was the most fun I've had in a match for a while, even though CSI has had a lot of super close matches lately. This match would get my vote for the most fun so far. GG!

trife and slanty have made it out of the recruitment phase bruised but alive!

Congrats to the two of them, the newest Idiots in CSI.

CSI over GD 7-3 by Octane at 08:23pm PST on Tuesday (11/20/07)
Excellent game against a class act clan on Well.

Round 1 started off with two quick CSI allcaps. CSI used a combination of medics, scouts and soldiers and faced a very aggressive GD team that included a heavy. GD's soldiers wisely jumped over the trains during setup and kept CSI on their toes. During the first round at one point, slanty quickly died by the train and then Octane began to holler. Not a second after he finished, Octane himself was killed by the train along with trife. GD came back to cap once and CSI capped a third time and the round ended 3-1.

Round 2 was just as exciting. CSI brought in their heavy, Hogan, and allcapped at the start. GD then came back with a vengeance. Octane, their medic, dropped from the server, and Paddyjack, the other medic (and the match's Golden Crowbar winner) quickly died. GD took advantage of the situation and all capped. The score was 1-1. The next time around they managed to once again push CSI all the way to their home point. They used their uber very wisely and eventually capped after a long standoff as CSI was making their last stand. CSI was down 1-2 at this point. Realizing they needed to pick up their game, CSI decided to play even more aggressively. They quickly turned out two more allcaps to end the round 4-2.

VGG GD! Final score 7-3.
